How do I install Deco Rail?
Screw the rail to the wall studs or masonry at 3 screws per metre, level along the ceiling line. Butter the top flange with cornice cement, press the new cornice onto the rail, then blob along the ceiling as usual. Because the rail’s ridge is perfectly straight, even crumbly plaster mouldings finish level.
Why choose Deco Rail for heritage projects?
The rail hides completely, so ornate plaster or timber cornices take centre stage. Walls stay intact, and future picture changes never require patching – ideal for high-value restorations and galleries in historical buildings.
Droppers & hooks
Use any Twister 1 mm or 2 mm wire plus Micro Grip, Auto Grip or Frame Hanger hooks depending on artwork weight. See Droppers and Hooks: How to Choose.
