Combi Rail Pro Light picture rail- how to install it?

Mark a level line. Fix Click & Connect clips at 3 clips / m (6 for 2 m, 9 for 3 m). Drill Ø 6 mm, plug, screw, then click the rail onto the clips and tap on the live-end cap. Connect transformer wiring, add end-caps, done. Rails can be cut with drop saw to custom length.

What components do I need?

Rail, live end, connector set – if longer than 3 m (includes both straight and corner connectors for joining individual picture rails.),  50 cm or 70 cm light arms – these are supplied  by Hang Logic. In addition, you’ll need to buy a transformer sized above your total lamp wattage, and GU10 or MR16 LEDs.

Live End Cap Coverage?

One live end cap is sufficient for up to 8 meters of continuous hanging rails.

How do I add another rail or turn a corner?

Slide a straight or 90-degree connector (included in the connector set) into the metal strip channel, tap flush, then clip the next rail. The insulation plate ensures power stays in the strip.

Should I choose 50 cm or 70 cm light arms?

50 cm light arms = focused spread for small works.
70 cm = wider throw for big canvases or to wash a wall. Both arms twist at the lamp head for fine-angle control.

Which transformer should I buy?

A licensed electrician should specify a 24V DC transformer whose wattage capacity exceeds the total load of  the lights on your rail run.

What’s better – an in-wall or a plug-in transformer?

It depends on your set-up. You can hard-wire a 24 V DC transformer behind the wall (your electrician hides it and connects the rail’s two wires directly), or use a plug-in 24 V DC power supply. With a plug-in unit you cut off the round DC plug, strip the two leads, then join them to the rail’s red (+) and black (–) wires. An electrician should still make the final connection to keep it safe and to code.

Combi Rail Pro Light vs Click Rail Pro?

Combi adds a 12/24 V lighting channel and movable light arm fittings; Click Rail Pro only lets you hang pictures but carries the same 50 kg / m.
