Art Strip is a built-in picture rail that replaces the side strip in a recessed (drop-in) ceiling, giving you a hidden, 50 kg / m hanging track the moment the tiles go in. Supplied Australia-wide by Hang Logic – ArtiTeq’s authorised partner.

How does Art Strip work?
Art Strip simply replaces the standard corner profile used to seat recessed (drop-in) ceiling tiles. Fix it to the wall or masonry, clip your ceiling grid to the front lip, then lay in the tiles. The slot that faces the room becomes a continuous, hidden picture rail.
Installation steps
- Mark ceiling height and screw Art Strip to the wall at 600 mm centres.
- Attach the ceiling-grid frame directly to the Art Strip lip.
- Drop tiles into place – the rail disappears inside the 18 mm shadowline.
- To hang art, twist a cord into any point on the rail, add your hook, and you’re done.
Why specify it early?
Because the rail is built-in, it must go in with the ceiling grid. Add it to plans during design development and you’ll never need to drill walls later – perfect for galleries, education, health and premium office fit-outs where layouts evolve.
