Tilt Reducer – keep small frames flat (reduce forward tilt)

The Tilt Reducer helps reduce forward tilt (tilt down) so smaller artworks hang flatter against the wall.
Even on larger artworks, if they are light canvases, you may notice forward tilt (tilt down, forward leaning), where the top edge leans away from the wall.

The Tilt Reducer is designed by ArtiTeq to reduce this. It sits discreetly behind the artwork and helps the piece hang flatter against the wall.

How Tilt Reducers work

Attach the Tilt Reducers to the top back edge of the frame with the lower lip braced under the underside of the top frame section, then guide the wire down below.
They create a stable contact point and help keep the hanging point closer to the wall, so the artwork sits flatter and tilts less.

Frame suitability

Works best on frames with a backing/profile of at least:

  • 10 mm height
  • 12 mm thickness
