ArtiTeq Micro Grip Hook (1 mm) 30.41100 is a compact, self-locking picture hook. It grips firmly in the downward direction and adjusts easily when you need to fine-tune height.
- Use this Micro Grip 1 mm hook with 1 mm diameter Twister hanging wires.
- Suits both steel and perlon (clear nylon) hanging lines.
Weight rating (depends on the wire)
- With 1 mm perlon Twister: 5 kg per wire + hook set (10 kg per pair).
- With 1 mm steel Twister: 10 kg per wire + hook set (20 kg per pair).
Despite its compact size, the Micro Grip Hook offers impressive strength. When correctly inserted into D-rings, it can support up to 5 kg per wire + hook set (or 10 kg when used in pairs with perlon). In builder’s terms – that’s half a sack of cement!
Stable hanging (use D-rings, not string)
- For best stability, hang frames from D-rings (not string).
- For best results, use two hooks per artwork. This provides better weight distribution and stability, and helps prevent wobbling from accidental bumps or drafts – keeping your artwork safely and neatly aligned.

How the Micro Grip works + safety
Easy height adjustment (how the Micro Grip works)
- To move the hook up: slide it up freely by pulling down on the hanging wire while pushing the hook up.
- To move the hook down: pinch the top (plunger) and the hook body together, slide it down, then release to lock.
Safety basics (please don’t skip these)
- Support the frame (or remove it) before adjusting.
- Always leave at least 5 cm of wire hanging below the hook.
Quick tip for getting frames perfectly straight
Level the frame by eye, or place a small spirit level on the frame. Then adjust one hook slightly up or down until the frame sits perfectly level.

The 1mm version features a self-locking mechanism that grips the hanging wire firmly in the downward direction. You can easily adjust the height by pulling down on the hanging wire while pushing the hook up. To slide the hook down, simply pinch the top plunger and bottom of the hook together.
To attach the hook, feed the wire into the hole at the top of the plunger and guide it through the body until it exits at the bottom. It’s quick, secure, and helps keep your artwork perfectly aligned.
