Are 2 mm cables compatible with smaller hooks?
Only hooks rated for 2 mm wire (Micro Grip 2 mm, Auto Grip, 1.5-2mm Frame Hanger) will bite securely.

Can I trim a 500 cm cable down?

Installer Jono was on time, did a perfect job of installing 10 metres of rail and cleaned up the brick dust on completion. A brilliant conversation with Jacqueline @ Hang Logic regarding the merits of the different hangers and hooks for our proposed application. Plus a bonus recommendation for a local (Melbourne) installer. Rails, hangers and hooks ordered and delivered within a few days. Installation day, what a breeze! Our installer is an absolute professional, levels checked, wall studs located, clips mounted, rails trimmed, mounted and connected very quickly and smoothly.
