The Contour Rail is the most compact wall-attached hanging system in the Artiteq picture hanging system range; it’s only 12.5mm high. You can attach it to the wall either 15mm below the ceiling or cornice, or further down the wall to create a defined line effect.

The Basics

• Rail width: 200cm or 300cm; height: 12.5mm; depth: 12.5mm
• 2 rail colours: white primer (cold white, rail can also be painted to match your walls, cornice or ceiling), brushed aluminium

“Less rail, more art”. The Contour Rail gets the job done in spite of its minimal dimensions (12.5 x 12.5 mm), and has an attractive, sleek design. Hanging pictures, or hanging and moving framed photos is easy thanks to the Contour Rail.

The rails allow you to hang paintings, prints, posters, photos, diplomas and wall sculptures anywhere on your wall. Why? Firstly, because you can slide the hanging wires you twist into the rail horizontally along your wall. Secondly, because you can slide the hooks on your hanging wires up and down it which in turn allows you to hang your pictures at any height.

Mounting the Contour Rail is simple if you possess some handyman skills. After screwing the ‘Click and Connect’ clips (3 per metre) to your wall (use a chalk line or a laser level to get them in a straight line) you can click the rail onto the clips with a mallet. Then twist the hanging wires into your rail.

You can choose from a variety of hanging wires. We have Perlon (a type of nylon that looks like fishing line) and stainless-steel hangers in lengths from 1.5 metres up to 5 metres. Perlon hangers give you an invisible look; stainless-steel hangers give you an industrial look and bear heavier weights. The refined style of the 1 mm hanging wires with Micro Grip suspension hook is a perfect match for the compact shape of this hanging system.

The hooks slide into the d-rings on the back of your picture. Best to use 2 hooks and hanging wires per picture for safety and stability.

In addition to the aluminium version of the rail, there is also a model available in white that may be painted in any colour.
